A senior care assistant at MHA Ryelands in London is celebrating her career progression after being encouraged to develop her skills and take advantage of the opportunities available within the organisation.

Goodness Boniface, 27, joined MHA Ryelands in 2022 as a care assistant before being promoted to senior care assistant in 2023.

Her journey into social care took a slightly different route, having previously worked as a chef and studied Hospitality and Tourism Management.

MHA Ryelands provides residential and residential dementia care for up to 50 residents. The home is part of MHA, a charity committed to providing high-quality care and support for older people.

Goodness was speaking as part of MHA's new initiative shining a spotlight on its senior care assistants, celebrating their journeys into the role and highlighting the opportunities available to develop careers within the organisation.
